Do this
- Get down to their eye level. Every time. It's the difference between a snapshot and a portrait.
- Let the camera find the eye and follow it. Half-press early, shoot short bursts.
- Running around: mode dial to Tv, 1/500. Same everything else.
- Window light, side-on. Turn the room lights off if you can; mixed light goes orange.
If it goes wrong
- Blurred child
- Tv 1/500.
- Focused on the background
- Tap the face on the screen. Or Q menu → Subject: People.
