Do this

  1. The 18-150 stays on; the 100-400 in the bag. On foot you're shooting landscape, plants, textures, the walk itself.
  2. Animals on foot: keep your distance, use 150mm, don't approach. A zebra at 50 metres is close enough.
  3. Look down as much as up: tracks, flowers, insects. Turn the polariser on for leaves and water.

If it goes wrong

Everything looks the same — flat bush
Get low, or find a single tree and make it the subject. Bush photographs need one thing to look at.
