- Everything from the coast sunrise card applies, in reverse: −⅓ to −1 to keep the colour, horizon on a line, a foreground — the lighthouse, groynes, a fence post, birds.
- Stay past sunset. The best colour is often fifteen minutes after the sun has gone.
- Wind is constant here. Brace, or use the tripod with the bag hung from it.
- Cold hands: shoot with the viewfinder and buttons, not the touchscreen.
